Having Your Say

R U Bovvered?

Have you got lots of ideas about how money should be spent in your neighbourhood? Would you like to see changes to your community? Do you want to make things better?

If you live in the Humber neighbourhood (that could be Weelsby Road, Ladysmith Road or the East Marsh) - Shoreline would like to hear from you next.

Simply email us your ideas or concerns through this link

No matter what your age Shoreline would like to hear what you’ve got to say about the area you live in.

If you have any concerns, ideas or suggestions then please let us know – the pupils of the Grange Junior School really made a difference to their community by taking part in a poster competition to highlight the problems facing the Grange and Crowland estate.

Shoreline asked the pupils what issues and problems they felt were facing the Grange and Crowland when consultations took place at their school.

The results of the consultations will help to form the basis of the Neighbourhood Investment Plan for the area, which will list the priorities for which projects cash should be spent on.

The pupils came up with their own ideas for where money should be spent and they were then asked to design posters illustrating the before and after of specific areas or particular issues they would like to see solved.

Shoreline Chief Executive Tony Bramley, Lynn Moore from the DN34 Community Centre and Shoreline Board members Peggy Cadwallader and David Robinson, chose winners from each school year.

The winning entries were Jordan Ashworth (year three), Natalie Kershaw (year four), Daniel Jackson (year five) and joint winners Brooke Robinson and Kerri Gaifer (year six) who will each receive £25 of Freshney Place vouchers as their prize.

Claire Tunstall, of Shoreline’s regeneration team said: “We recognised that there was a need to consult with young people.

“Young people are a major part of the community and anything that we invest in will have an effect on them at some point in their lives.

“The aim of the poster competition was to get the pupil’s views of the Grange and Crowland, what they would like to see or what the main issues are. The issues were well represented in the posters and these will be fed into Shoreline’s Neighbourhood Investment Plan.”

The winners were presented with prizes at a school assembly on Friday 12th May.
