grounds maintenance
Veolia Environmental Services, the UK’s leading recycling and waste management company have been awarded a three year grounds maintenance contract with us.
The service began on 1 April 2011 and will deliver grass and hedge cutting, weed spraying and shrub bed maintenance for our properties, providing residents with high quality green space management.

The service
Veolia Environmental Services will perform the following grounds maintenance works in Shoreline neighbourhoods, including large areas of open space, supported housing complexes, our headquarters and customer service centres.
This includes:
Spring and summer service (mid-March to mid-October)
Each site will be visited on a routine basis.
Maintenance work to include:
- grass cutting. Grass cuttings are left uncollected unless grass is over a specified height
- shrub and flower bed maintenance
- litter collection
- cleaning of debris and weed maintenance of all hard surfaces including paths, car parks gravelled areas, drying areas, perimeter fence lines and wall lines.
Autumn, winter service (mid-October to mid-March)
Each site to be visited routinely to undertake:
- pruning back of shrubs and hedges
- litter collection
- collection of leaves from gulleys and paths
Hours of work:
Monday – Friday: 8am – 6pm
(Hours will be shorter in winter due to reduced daylight hours)
