area development teams
Area development teams are made up of residents, our employees and partner agencies such as the police, North East Lincolnshire Council and the youth services.
The team’s main aim is to drive forward the priorities set out in Shoreline’s Area Action Plans and to come up with new suggestions and projects that will help to improve and sustain local communities.
There are four area development teams covering the whole of North East Lincolnshire and one dedicated older person’s area development team that covers all of our sheltered accommodation.
The teams meet every two months for a general meeting, with project sub groups that meets as and when specific projects require.
As well as being able to attend meetings you can tell us what the real issues are in your neighbourhood and leave your suggestions for projects here, over the telephone or by popping in to one of our customer service centres.
What does an area development team do?
This could be anything from reducing empty properties, allowing people to live longer in their homes, reducing anti-social behaviour, increasing the number of youth diversion activities, improving the local environment and increasing financial inclusion.
You’ll also have the opportunity to use some of our discretionary investment funding to contribute towards the cost of community activities.
