creating communities to be proud of

Welcome to the Quick-to-Let section of our website.
Quick-to-Let is a new scheme that allows you to view and actively select some of our properties to rent. We have a number of properties that are defined as "low demand" which are properties that have been refused by applicants and remain empty but which may match your personal preference for a new home.
We've put together some frequently asked questions which tells you a bit more about the scheme and how you can bid for a home.
Click on the address to view the property details then apply online below or call 0845 849 2000 option 2 to speak to an advisor. You can also visit our offices in Osborne Street or Second Avenue and place your bid in person.
You will need Adobe Reader software to view the details. If you do not have the software installed on your computer, you can download it for free by clicking on the icon below. All of the documents will open in a new window.
You can apply online for any or all of the properties listed below. Just tick the property or properties you want to bid for, fill in your details and then press submit. A member of our team will contact you within two working days after the Monday the bidding ends if you are successful.
Properties are advertised from 10 am on Tuesday morning and bids must be placed by 5.30 pm the following Monday.
Quick-to-Let is a new scheme that allows you to view and actively select some of our properties to rent.
We don’t want properties to be empty and we want to house you quickly and efficiently but we also want to make sure that you stay in the home we provide you with for a long time. By advertising these properties, we are giving you the opportunity to consider renting homes that you haven’t previously considered which is beneficial to both you and us.
Quick-to-Let properties are advertised here on our website and in our customer service centres:
Customer Service Centre
11-13 Osborne Street, GrimsbyMake the Neighbourhood Better Centre
Second Avenue, Grimsby
The homes advertised on Quick-to-Let are properties that aren’t in such high demand, that have been offered to other applicants but they have been refused three or more times.
Where you want to live is down to personal preference or circumstance. Some people would prefer to live in Cleethorpes and some would prefer to live in Immingham. Some people need four-bedroom houses and some people need a bedsit. Our properties are all judged by the Shoreline Lettings Standard so they all achieve this decency level before we let them.
Anyone already on the housing register can bid for a Quick-to-Let property. If you are not on the housing register you will need to fill in a housing application form to register with us. You can download a form by visiting our publications page or we can post one to you, simply call us on 0845 849 2000 option 2 and request a copy.

No it will not affect your position.
Initially, you get one week to bid on a property. If nobody bids then the property will be offered to the first registered bid after that. Properties are advertised from 10 am on Tuesday morning and bids must be placed by 5.30 pm the following Monday.
No. This will not affect your housing register status.
Yes. You may bid as many times as you like, as long as you are genuinely interested in the property.
No. If you are already on our housing register you can start bidding for properties straight away. Anyone not on the housing register will need to fill in a Shoreline application form.
Possibly. By viewing and making bids for advertised properties through Quick-to-Let you are taking an active role in choosing where you want to live so you are increasing your chances of getting a home quicker.
However we do take your band and registration date into account when allocating properties, so those of you with the greatest housing need will still be prioritised and housed first.
There is no regular flow with these types of property but we will advertise available Quick-to-Let properties every Tuesday.
All bids will be organised in band order. If more than one bid comes in from the same band then they will be organised in date order from their registration date so the process is fair and those with the greatest housing need are giving homes first.
If you are successful, we will contact you and offer you the property. If there are no problems with your application and you like the property after viewing then you will be able to sign up for the tenancy.
Keep trying. Remember new Quick-to-Let properties will be advertised every Tuesday.
