More new homes on the way

Two former run down garage sites in Grimsby will be transformed into 23 new affordable homes.

Garage sites proposed view

Shoreline has been granted approval from North East Lincolnshire Council to regenerate two sites – one in the East Marsh and one in Bradley Park.

Increasing the supply of affordable high-quality accommodation, in total the schemes include:

  • 15 two-bedroom houses on land off Harlech Way and Werneth Road, East Marsh
  • 8 two-bedroom houses on land off Bremerhaven Way and Dolby Vale, Bradley Park.

The modern homes will include downstairs toilets, fitted kitchens, resident parking and rear gardens, with the East Marsh properties built around a central courtyard parking zone.

Shoreline director of operations Mark Jones said: “We’re delighted to be able to increase our housing stock and help meet the demand for two-bedroom properties.”

Part-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency, the properties have been designed by Grimsby based practice Ross Davy Associates.

Due for completion in summer 2018, the new rental properties will be advertised on alongside all available Shoreline homes.

The news follows our successful transformation of a former garage site into new housing at Andrews Lane on the Willows.
