shoreline snaps up new builds

We’ve snapped up thirty two brand new properties across North East Lincolnshire, as we purchase properties for the very first time.

We will rent 27 of the new builds and five will be part of a Shared Ownership scheme helping local people to buy affordable homes.

The properties are currently being built at the Renaissance, New Waltham and Ladysmith Road, Grimsby redevelopments.

In total the scheme will comprise of:

  • 18 two-bedroom apartments
  • 7 two-bedroom houses
  • 2 three-bedroom town houses
  • 3 two-bedroom houses for Shared Ownership
  • 2 three-bedroom town houses for Shared Ownership

The deal with award-winning Stamford Homes and part funded by the Homes and Communities Agency is the first since we formed.

Investment in new build properties helps to ease some of the pressure on the local housing stock as waiting lists for social housing reach a high.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us to increase our housing stock - it helps us to meet customer demand and provides more options for local residents.

“In addition our Freshney Green redevelopment is well underway and it is very exciting that Shoreline is now involved in other major redevelopments in the area helping to regenerate local neighbourhoods and maximise the opportunity for the development of affordable housing.”

Shoreline chief executive Tony Bramley

The properties are part funded by the Homes and Communities Agency as part of the National Affordable Housing Programme (NAHP) and will be delivered to current Design and Quality Standards.
