Older people’s accommodation is at the forefront of modern luxury living after we unveiled the modernisation of our landmark sheltered scheme - The Limes in Waltham.
In just under 10 months we have transformed the bedsit accommodation into high-quality, luxury apartments with fully-fitted kitchens and bathroom facilities.
Officially opened by Martin A Archer Chair of Waltham Parish Council, invited guests and residents who have been involved at every stage of the modernisation process - choosing colour schemes, layout, facilities and the overall appearance of the scheme – enjoyed light refreshments.
The modernisation has brought the accommodation up to a higher standard with considerable improvements including:
- improved security features
- a new reception, guest bedroom, communal room, scooter store and conservatory
- a brand new, integrated door entry, fire detection and emergency call system
- improved disability access
- a new communal heating system sourced from a renewable ground source heat pump
- redesigned external features including landscaping of patio areas and communal gardens.
