The modernisation – which will push the Limes to the forefront of modern sheltered housing – includes:
The modernisation programme will continue through our older people’s accommodation over the next ten years with each scheme being reviewed on an individual basis.
All of the current residents have been successfully decanted to other Shoreline properties within North East Lincolnshire and still receive individual visits by their dedicated support officer.
The redevelopment of the Limes is expected to be complete in June 2009.
“Along with our residents, I am really excited to see work start on our first scheme. The Limes will be totally transformed becoming a landmark for modern, first-class older people’s accommodation.
“We are making a major substantial investment that will ensure that our sheltered accommodation meets the needs of older people within the community for years to come.”
The modernisation programme is part of the major redevelopment of our sheltered housing service which has also seen the introduction of specialist support teams and the expansion of the service to the wider community.
