creating communities to be proud of

Keeping a housing association up to date with her contact details proved to be just the timely visit for one lucky tenant when they became Shoreline Customer Service Centre’s 25,000 customer.
East Marsh resident Mrs Grimmer was presented with a surprise bunch of flowers and £50 of DIY vouchers to celebrate the flagship centres’ milestone.
Shoreline’s Customer Service Centre has transformed front line services providing a central location for residents to receive information on a whole range of housing and community services as well as properties to let.
Over 25,000 people have received advice from trained advisors since the centre first opened its doors – as well as hundreds more who visit the centre to collect information or hand in applications.
In a response to customer demand the centre is now open on Saturdays, 9am – Noon making it easier for those customers who are in town at the weekend or who work in the week.
A new free to use PC has also been installed allowing customers to access the Shoreline website and the national homeswapper initiative where residents can mutually exchange homes across the country.
The Customer Service Centre was officially opened by local MP Austin Mitchell in September 2006.
The centre has been host to several community events and consultations throughout the year including the successful ban-the-pan initiative.
Shoreline Customer Service Centre manager Jill Knott said: “Along with all our other community offices - the centre provides a service for all of our tenants as well as a range of other customers across North East Lincolnshire.
“We wanted to mark this milestone because it shows how much our frontline services have improved with so many of our residents using the centre on a daily basis. We value meeting our tenants and hope that through working with our customers we can ensure that the centre continues to go from strength to strength.”
