creating communities to be proud of

Shoreline’s first flood affected tenants have returned to their renovated home just six weeks after waters caused extensive damage to their property.
Mr Francis and Mrs Muriel Carrick were welcomed back by the Shoreline insurance team marking the completion of work at their property.
Shoreline has pulled out all the stops to ensure that residents can return to their homes as quickly as possible.
The couple are the first of 30 residents who will begin returning home and seeing work completed on their homes over the next few weeks.
Their home, representative of many throughout the neighbourhood, has been thoroughly cleaned and treated with bacteriacide.
Teams have replaced the floor tiles and skirting boards, re-plastered the walls, installed new internal doors and dados and carried out a full decoration in record time.
A delighted Muriel Carrick said:”We are glad that they have finished the work, and we can shut the door and get back to normal.
“We are very pleased; they have done well for us Shoreline. They have worked hard and made us feel better.”
Since the floods, officers have visited all tenants who have been affected to assess the damage and provide advice and support in regards to health and safety, cleaning, repair of their homes and insurance.
Shoreline chief executive Tony Bramley said: “This has obviously been a very distressing time for local residents.
“Our employees have worked really hard over the period of the emergency and subsequently to ensure that our housing is back in order and the residents’ lives are back to normal as quickly as possible.
“We are really pleased that we can begin to welcome people back to their homes so soon.”
