creating communities to be proud of

Free furniture is still on offer to flood victims in North East Lincolnshire as the clean up continues.

North East Lincolnshire Council said the Community Chest Charity still had emergency packs available for people who had lost belongings in the floods.
The packs include a three piece suite, dining tables and chairs, kitchenware, a bed and chest of drawers.
The charity said it had received many donations of furniture by members of the public who wanted to help.
General manager Neil Cartwright said: "Community Chest is a local charity with a long track record of supporting our local community.
"Working closely with the local authority on this project has allowed us to better support those affected by the recent flooding."
Andrew De Freitas, leader of North East Lincolnshire Council, thanked residents who had donated to the cause.
He said: "We have been overwhelmed by the public's response to our appeal - which just goes to show what a caring community we live in here in North East Lincolnshire."
Residents who want to request packs can contact either Community Chest on (01472) 268505 or North East Lincolnshire Council on (01472) 313131.
