creating communities to be proud of

what shoreline expects of you

Shoreline sets standards for your behaviour at work through a number of policies and procedures. A brief overview is outlined below, however, it is your responsibility to fully familiarise yourselves with these policies and procedures.

Conduct

The rules are very clear on standards of behaviour expected by Shoreline. You are expected to treat colleagues, Board members and customers with dignity, courtesy and respect and must not act in a manner, at any time, which will bring Shoreline into disrepute.

When visiting tenants’ homes, you are requested to greet them stating your first name, that are from Shoreline Housing Partnership and the department in which you work. Enter only when invited to do so.

Misuse of any Shoreline property for personal gain is strictly prohibited.

Equality and Diversity

Shoreline will do all it can to prevent any form of discrimination from occurring. You are expected to behave in a manner which complies with this approach.

Attendance

Shoreline’s aim is to secure the full attendance of all employees throughout the working week. Shoreline does however recognise that some absence many be unavoidable and where justified will be treated sympathetically.

You must ring in within one hour of your starting time, leaving a contact number if you do not speak directly to your line manager.

Health and Safety at work

You should abide by Shoreline’s health and safety procedures at all times.

It is your responsibility to bring to the attention of your line manager any circumstances which might have health and safety implications.

Reporting accidents

If an accident or incident should occur you must report it to your line manager immediately, who will advise you on the correct procedures to follow.

Lunches attended only by Shoreline personnel at restaurants should always be recorded.

Any information you obtain during the course of your work must remain confidential, unless otherwise instructed.

Dress code

If you have been provided with a uniform you must wear it at all times when in contact with customers, including frontline service.

These must not interfere with your work and you must not put yourself in a position where your work and private interests conflict. Shoreline requests that you obtain the consent of Chief Executive Tony Bramley before undertaking additional work, advising additional hours worked per week.

Work-related problems
