creating communities to be proud of

Residents will decide whether the multi-million pound garage replacement scheme will go ahead in their neighbourhood.
We are demolishing all of our 1400 garages across our neighbourhoods in North East Lincolnshire as a health and safety precaution.
We are proposing a rebuild programme where residents express a preference for garages to be replaced.
We will consult with every single garage tenant and those residents who are directly next to garages to gauge views on future provision.
The scheme will take place in phases across the borough:
Phase one – Bradley Park, Waltham, Scartho
Phase two – Littlecoates, Laceby, Nunsthorpe, Immingham
Phase three – West Marsh
Phase four – East Marsh
Phase five – Humber, Cleethorpes East
Phase six – East Marsh multi-storeys, Immingham (Washdyke)
Phase seven – Willows
Phase eight – Willows, Cleethorpes South
Other areas such as the Yarborough will be dealt with through separate redevelopment programmes.
Consultation will begin in phase one next week and demolition is due to begin in phase one early next year.
Residents affected by demolition will know precisely what the plan for demolition and reprovision is in their neighbourhood before work begins.
The complete demolition and reprovision of garages across North East Lincolnshire will be complete by April 2009.
If the scheme gets the go ahead, it is intended that blocks of garages will be knocked down and reprovided within a week so there is a minimum gap in provision of service.
The replacement scheme is an opportunity for significant investment in the quality of our stock, to increase safety and provide better security.
Resident feedback will also be used to create a new garage tenancy agreement.
We are keen to make sure that any reprovision of garages meets your needs. If you are a tenant of a garage within the following areas please complete our online form and let us know what you think.
