The first state-of-the-art homes at Grimsby's Freshney Green have been unveiled. Local residents were delighted as the eagerly awaited showhome was officially opened by David Curtis, regional director of the Homes and Communities Agency.

Doors open for a sneak peek
Local residents got a sneak preview into their eagerly awaited new homes at Grimsby’s Freshney Green housing showpiece. The first fifteen completed homes in phase one of the multi-million pound, 440-home redevelopment were open to a group of existing residents.

Fresh start
A bright new future was welcomed by local residents, school children and the whole community as they gathered together to unveil Freshney Green as the new name for the Yarborough estate as it continues to embark on an exciting new phase in its future.

England may be out of the European championships but we’ve ensured football fever will still reach the young people of Grimsby this summer by providing £4000 of funding for a year long sports academy on the former Yarborough estate.
