creating communities to be proud of

Tenants facing an uncertain future on Grimsby's Yarborough estate have been guaranteed a home when it is rebuilt - or cash to leave.
We made the commitment after announcing the multi-million pound phased redevelopment of the neighbourhood.
Murray Macdonald, director of neighbourhood services said the announcement came following extensive talks with tenants.
"The residents' wishes have always been our number one priority.
"The majority had said they wanted to remain on the estate during and after this eight-year rebuild.
“We can announce today those tenants have a guaranteed place when it is complete providing they have not breached their tenancy agreements."
But for those wishing to leave, he announced compensation payments of £4,500 per qualifying household, with a switch to another Shoreline property elsewhere in the borough.
Mr Macdonald said: “We appreciate not everyone will want to live through what will be a disruptive period as homes are demolished and replaced.
“We hope residents agree the compensation offer gives them a viable alternative, should they wish to move to another Shoreline property.”
