As a new and evolving development we have a variety of properties on offer in Freshney Green with the shared ownership scheme to suit your housing needs, ranging from two bedroom apartments to four bedroom family homes.
Buying a Shared Ownership Home
Step 1 – Meet the Linden Homes sales team at the Freshney Green sales office. They will be able to show you around the development and the show homes and give prices for the different types of properties.
Step 2 – Linden Homes sales team will help you to complete 3 application forms. They will put you in touch with the new homes mortgage helpline who will assess your financial suitability. They will also help you to complete the online application form for My 4 Walls, the local home buying agent and also give you a Shoreline Housing Shared Ownership application to complete and return to us. You may need to pay a deposit to Linden Homes to reserve the plot or property that you wish to buy.
Step 3 – We will complete all the necessary checks to ensure you meet the criteria. Your application may be refused if you are subject to immigration control and we reserve the right not to register or defer registration if you or a member of your household is guilty of unacceptable behaviour such as:
- Rent arrears
- Breach of tenancy obligation
- Nuisance or annoyance
- Conviction for immoral or illegal use of the premises
- Conviction for an arrestable offence
- Domestic violence
Step 4 – When you have been passed by all three agents, your share has been agreed and your mortgage is in place Linden Homes will instruct solicitors to continue with the sale.
