Communal Areas Cleaning Contract Survey

Recently Shoreline established a Service Review Panel to review the current OCS cleaning contract (OCS clean the communal areas in your block) and one of the recommendations of the panel was to consult tenants and leaseholders on a menu of options, in terms of cleaning provision.

1. Current Cleaning Contract

Under the current cleaning contract cleaners are required to carry out several tasks. Of the following tasks, please indicate which you think area completed to a satisfactory level:
	Always	Never	Some of the time
Clean floors and skirting
Spot clean glass entrance doors and reception areas removing finger marks and smudges
Clean kick plates on doors
Wash front door
Dust ledges, exposed pipes or duct work
Damp wipe doors and walls
Remove dirt, marks, stains and graffiti from furniture and walls
Clean internal glass surfaces

2. Available Options

Below are two options that are available to you. Bearing in mind the strengths and weaknesses of each option, please tick your preferred choice:
Option 1 Similar specification for cleaning work. This would lead to no extra service charge however cleaning contract will remain as it is at present.
Option 2 Increase specification, frequency and time spent on cleaning. This would lead to a higher standard of service but may increase the service charge
