Over two million pounds of security and environmental investment will combat anti-social behaviour and improve the appearance of Grimsby’s East Marsh multi-storey blocks.
The improvements form part of our wider commitment to the transformation of the East Marsh which will also completely regenerate the physical environment of the multi-storeys and the appearance of the area.

The major regeneration project has been developed with East Marsh residents after they raised concerns about unsecured rights of way, the degenerated physical environment, security, crime, the fear of crime, anti-social behaviour and drug-dealing.
A series of six access points will provide secure rights of entry to residents and their visitors.
Each access point will have pedestrian gates alongside vehicle access gates. Dedicated fixed cameras will record entrances and exits along with the possibility of automatic number plate recognition.
Shoreline director of neighbourhood services Murray Macdonald said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to breathe new life into the multi-storey area - we are sure we can create a safe, secure and welcoming neighbourhood that people want to live in.”
