DAVID ROBINSON
David spent over 30 years in the insurance industry, spending 28 happy years with the Prudential. For the last 18 years of his service with the Prudential, David was part of their management team in Grimsby.
At the age of 50, David embarked on a new direction when he asked for early retirement in order to have the rime to set up a local charity based in the Grimsby and Cleethorpes area. The charity, CARE, has become a major player in helping the needy and homeless people through it’s charity shop and Care Rent scheme. Although retired from general management of CARE, David is still employed by them two days a week as a Tenant Support worker.
Having a first hand understanding of some of the problems associated with obtaining and maintaining a tenancy awaked David’s interest in the formation of Shoreline. David became a Board member in October 2003. His special interests are in Human Resource and Audit and Risk procedures. David is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and Vice-Chair of the Human Resources and Governance Committee.
