customer service centre

Shoreline’s Customer Service Centre opened in August 2006 and replaced our offices at Freeman Way, 207 Freeman Street and Burwell Drive.

Our professional, friendly staff at the centre are available to provide advice and information about your rent, the housing register and all the services Shoreline provides. It's conveniently located next to the bus stop in Osborne Street and is within a couple of minutes walk from Freshney Place shopping centre, the railway station and the bus station.

 

Why not visit us, where you can do the following:

  • apply to join the Housing Register
  • pay your rent via cheque or debit/credit card or set up a Direct Debit or Standing Order - please note cash payments cannot be taken.
  • hand in your Housing Benefit form
  • report or check the progress of a repair
  • receive advice on rents or arrears
  • report neighbour nuisance or anti-social behaviour
  • report a complaint, make a suggestion or pay us a compliment
  • view properties which are registered for a mutual exchange
  • hand in your termination notice
  • hand in your keys and be given a key receipt
  • pick up leaflets or application forms
  • make other general enquiries
  • view our website and the Homeswapper website using our facility in the centre

Our centre has these customer-friendly features:

  • private interview rooms for handling sensitive issues
  • a comfortable waiting area designed with families in mind
  • an automatic door, low-level desks and a wide entrance means that wheelchair users and those with mobility problems can easily enter the shop and induction loops have also been fitted to make sure all our customers can be served in the maximum of comfort
  • an audio/visual queue system ensures that all customers are served quickly and fairly
  • appointment setting to meet with an advisor.

Seeking Advice

Information and advice can also be sought from Shoreline’s Neighbourhood Officers, who will be out and about in the neighbourhoods.

Also the new Shoreline multi-agency office in Second Avenue – Make the Neighbourhood Better Centre and the office at Kennedy Way in Immingham has advisers who can help you and you can also pay your rent and council tax there.

Events

A number of events will be organised for tenants at the Customer Service Centre which will focus on specific issues, such as rent and arrears advice, neighbourhood updates and promotion of vacant properties. Further information will be provided concerning specific events, so please look in your tenants newsletters and in the local press for details.
